Fermentation is an ancient method of preserving raw materials. This method is used for transforming and preserving raw materials to make food such as sausages, cheese and chocolate. Fermentation not only creates a high quality taste, but us also a wonderful source of healthy lactic bacteria that contribute to a more balanced digestion.
At the workshop you will learn about the process of fermentation and the benefits of lactic acid bacteria. You will make your own unique sauerkraut, combining a variety of cabbage and spices. We taste our way through various fermented products and talk about possible uses and how you can be creative with your fermentation. You will take your homemade sauerkraut home so you can test out your new creation.
