When the growing season is at its peak, it’s time to make pesto! Herbs can be simply preserved with just salt or oil. Salt is a great way to preserve your fresh herbs and bring their bright flavor into the darker months.
In this workshop we pick, dry, grind or use a mortar to crush and combine herbs, berries, and selected seasonings with salt, olives, nuts, and more. Then we taste the results! We talk about the various methods and combinations you can use. Everyone takes a pesto and herb salt home.
